Delete account

The primary path is in the COSMYNIX app:

• Sign in to the COSMYNIX app
• Open the Me / Account tab
• Choose Delete account and complete confirmation

The consumer web account page also has signed-in account deletion steps. That path is authenticated too.

If you cannot open the app, write to support@cosmynix.com. Email alone cannot delete another person’s account. Support will not delete an account without verifying that it is yours.

Authenticated deletion attempts to remove the Firebase identity and deletes the COSMYNIX user row. User-controlled content (chats, birth profiles, memory, visual media objects) is intended to be deleted or anonymized through the current cascade. This is not a promise that every backend record disappears immediately.

Commerce purchases, subscriptions, report jobs, and related audit records do not cascade-delete with the user row; the current schema restricts that. Commerce/financial records may be retained only as legally required. Durations are not stated in this draft.

Account-deletion intent may be kept as a tombstone keyed by a hash of the identity-provider identifier. The raw identifier is cleared from that record when identity deletion completes.

Deleting a COSMYNIX account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Manage subscriptions in App Store or Google Play account settings. This draft does not promise otherwise.

Durations for backups, logs, report files, and commerce records are not invented in this draft. Backups are purged through the normal backup expiry cycle; that duration requires legal review.
